  • Yep. There’s this strategy called “pump and dump.” It’s often used by the wealthy to inflate stock prices before cratering them to buy at discount.

Idiots like you see line go up for a while, and think:

    • I’ll buy at a discount as it falls

Instead of noticing the “pump” part of the scheme, also visible in your image.

Unless you want to point to some economic windfall happening between 2022 and 24 that explains all that growth, it is very likely from downsizing, buybacks, and off market darkpool price manipulation. (Which now happens regularly these days with every blue chip stock around 5pm).

Historically, Tariffs lead to a recession in 1830 (15% Tariffs), a Depression in 1930 (20% Tariffs), and now with a 40% plus Tariffs on basically everything, we are likely to see the complete disembowlment of the US Dollar and all the market dominance we built with it.

You better get your completely misplaced premature celebration out now, because you are going to be eating crow the rest of this year, and far into the future. There’s no amount of bullshit Trump spin that will bring our markets back. We are unquestionably fucked.

I will gladly check back here in 8 months to provide an updated chart, seeing as you will certainly be too embarrassed to do so.

  • Just FYI, you’re arguing with someone that agrees with you.

I agree with you too, but only about your main point. Not “all men.”

That assumption is the same logic as bigots and the very “men” you are trying to chastize. Let me just rephrase what you wrote to make my point:

It truly is ‘all women’ when it comes to a discussion about being involuntarily celibate. Using whataboutism to studiously ignore the issue at hand.

You literally are using the same arguments that incels do to justify their hatred and punishment of women.

Just changing the who and what in that argument does not make it a logically sound one.

Anecdotally, I’m a man, and one that has literally saved a woman from being arrested for assault because I recognized she was having an extreme bipolar manic episode, and not just “going crazy” like her female friends believed when they called the cops on her.

The belief our penis prevents us from acting humane is laughable bigotry.

If you want to make a scientific point, don’t follow it with unscientific insults.

  • I don’t disagree. But I have a unique take on the fall of empires and the evil inherent in humans.

Imo, evil is a byproduct of human selfishness. Taking without empathy towards where it’s coming from. Money, power, property, and even life itself.

There are people that do this because of their isolated environment. (Raised to think anyone that doesn’t look like them isn’t human, and therefore it’s alright to exploited them for gain.)

And there are those that do it because they are sociopaths.

While Sociopathic diagnoses isn’t an easy thing we can pin down. In a world where our social behaviors can be dramatically affected by our genetics (autism) it’s not hard to assume sociopathy is just another manifestation of something like autism. Just a more extreme one - where a person literally is incapable of understanding others as human with emotions like them.

These people are born incapable of understanding that other people have feelings at all. So they don’t contribute to communities, they don’t help others, they just lie and pretend to be like others to exploit for their own gain. They lie to appear social and kind (towards some), as that attracts others in that group they can easily take from.

You know the uncanny valley? The unsettling feeling we get when we see CG that looks human, but doesn’t quite move or act like a real human?

imo that’s an evolutionary response to our habit of breeding sociopaths. They pretend VERY hard to be human, but lack the natural primate communal instinct everyone else is born with. They look human, but don’t act like it compared to the rest of the community.

In smaller groups, like towns or families, these people can be kicked out and otherwise ostracized to protect the smaller community from being exploited.

But in larger communities, it’s an all you can exploit buffet. In larger communities, sociopaths thrive because there is an endless amount of trusting people they can exploit. If they fail, they just move on to the next group of suckers.

If they manage to extract enough power, then all they have to do is keep lying to maintain it. But always, and eventually, at the cost of the larger community itself. There is a finite limit of exploitation that once reached, no longer serves to preserve the larger community, just the power of the sociopaths in it. The community collapses, as it’s support mechanisms have been diverted to the sociopaths, and the sociopaths are then unable to lie any longer and usually blamed / killed / ostracized for their bullshit now that it’s obvious.

So while sociopaths are thankfully not the norm when it comes to humans, just a few in a group can take down our largest efforts to civilize.

This is why smaller human cultural groups tend to have much longer histories than massive empires. (Bushido and martial arts still exist, but the Shogunate does not). We are always going to breed sociopaths, and in turn they will make sure we never get too big for our own good.

Problems arise when the world itself is now fairly united, and sociopaths have no where left to run and hide.

If we want our biggest countries and empires to persist longer than 250 years, then we needs laws that prevent sociopaths from doing their thing.

I’m a big fan of wealth caps. Because it’s non intrusive on a person’s genetics, and the only people that complain about having 800 mil to spend instead of 1 billion, are sociopaths.

Anyway. That’s my way of saying:

    • We are not all evil, mostly it’s sociopaths (and the wealthy brought up inhumane bubbles.)

    • Sociopaths are the reason every human empire has fallen.

    • There’s a lot of powerful sociopaths running the world because we spent decades collecting all our best resources together in large shiny empires that called the worst of us like a moth to flame for their exploitation.

  • I the US 2024 presidential election, there was two names on the ballot for candidates likely to win:

    A) Person that wanted to tax billionaires B) Person with 34 felonies for trying to steal a previous presidential election.

Two choice for a vote. B was picked because TV told everyone that was the smart thing to do, while actual smart people were ignored as too woke.

So now it’s very all of our fucking business that TV got people to vote B.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If you were stupid enough to vote B, or not vote at all when B was on the ballot, then don’t be surprised and sad that said action have now enabled the disappearance of people to prisons with no due process.

The only thing Trumpesque is whining like a bitch now that there’s consequences to B winning.

    The choices were:

    A) Brown Lady B) Constitutional seppuku

So no one here is telling you how to vote - but most here understood what the consequences of voting B would be.

    Did you?

Or are you just now mad to find out crime grandpa is indeed gonna crime? Because no one is going to have sympathy for that level of ignorance. Best you can hope for is a 'Let’s go Brandon" style of whining you could adopt and use to bitch more about the outcome of the election with.

  • You know those scam phone calls from India pretending to be Microsoft? They overwhelmly target the elderly, because their success rate with them is so high. The elderly are without question more gullible when it comes to being taken advantage of over the internet and social media.

The elderly control every branch of our government. Their gulliblity is now something that lets all of us get taken advantage of - not just themselves. They are collectively buying MAGA Hats for the country because some guys on the internet told them it would make America Great. It’s clearly not, hasn’t, and is a scam, but now our entire country has to pay for it.

Even the best, most well trained guards cannot provide protection if they are too old to lift a shield. Our entire government hasn’t been able to lift that shield in decades.

Which explains why 9-11 was “Never Forget,” but Columbine is “Always Forget” for every school shooting that’s happened since '99.

I was a Sophomore in highschool when Colombine happened, and now my kids get to see others their age die yearly in school shootings while President crime grandpa tells us it’s because of trans kids.

It’s not boomers as a generation that’s the problem, it’s that generation is just now old to provide security. At worst, they are too proud to admit their age causes issues in their ability to lead and protect this country. But it unquestionably does.

  • Can confirm. Boring is the way. Accounting, economics, etc.

For me, I worked my ass off to be a person that works on movies and TV etc. Got lucky, held some dream positions, and even got to make my own thing.

However, if I could do it all again, I’d stay in the boring office job I had and share twice as much time with my family and friends.

Instead, I worked 80 hour weeks, made some decent money in respected roles, and then Covid took everyone and everything close to me. Money and respect mean nothing if you can’t share it with those you love.

Boring is the way. Don’t worry about liking your job in 10-20 years, worry about liking your life.

  • Tesla spent two decades building it’s brand only to lose world wide appeal in a matter of weeks.

There is a very clear trend in what Elon touches turning to shit.

X is clearly not recovering to its previous highs.

And Tesla is likely now fucked too.

Simply because neither of these companies have a path forward to reaching the value they had without a worldwide consumer base. Supply and demand determine value and both of these companies shifted their demand base from billions of people world wide to millions of people brainwashed in the US.

The active consumer base for both products is now American, and only so much value can be extracted from Americans compared to the entire world.

Add in a pending US economic crisis to that smaller user base of both companies, and there’s absolutley no hope either survive or recover to the value they previously had.

Invest in either if you want to lose money in the long run. Otherwise short both.

  • Here’s some advice from someone with a high nat charisma role on birth:

Gaining friends, lovers, or even acquaintances isn’t a goal to be worked towards - rather - the best kinds of these relationships are byproducts of mutual interest and experiences.

If your efforts are only going towards showing up at social events to participate in small talk, then no wonder it feels like you’re coming home from work. Because that’s the same behavior expected at work.

This “social script” we’re expected to follow at work is to maintain social standing to get work done, rather than grow and deepen connections.

Basically, work socialization and personal socialization should be approached differently, and taking the work approach to your private life will likely lead to the same kind of relationships you’re building at work: simple and makes your work easier. (Rather than relationships that are deep, and make your life more colorful.)

Here’s something to try the next time you find a group you want to be a part of:

    • 1st: Don’t talk about work itself. Talk about the actions you take at work. Don’t say, “I work in sales” say “I sell shit to those that don’t need it.”

Talk about the specific actions you take, in work or anywhere else, and personalize them.

The fundamentals of any relationship are built on the aligned behaviors of individuals. The easiest way to determine if the way you behave is similar to others is to talk about how you act. And if you can add in your own opinion about those actions, even better. These small things communicate who you are much better than anything else. Actions speak louder than words, so try your best to speak about yourself as the actions you take - use verbs to describe yourself, not nouns.

    • 2nd: Don’t talk about yourself unless asked. Instead, engage with others to learn about them. Specially, what actions they like.

If you know someone is interested in something like bikes. Don’t ask what bikes they like, ask if they “like the thrill of downhill mountain biking,” or “prefer a chill bike ride through the park.”

Do they watch movies? Don’t ask “did you like that Movie?” Rather, ask “did you like pacing of that Movie?”

Verbs should also be at the heart of your inquiries into others, as they describe the actions others have that might align with yours.

That is - good relationships are built on mutual action, not mutual interest.

So don’t ask, “How was work?” ask “What projects are you working on?” Then follow that inquiry up with more specifics on their behaviour through that project - “How hard was the project to complete? Who got in your way?”

Basically, socialize as if the people you want to hang around are all the main characters within their own show. They have adventures, villians, love interests, etc - and just spending time learning what those are, will make them feel closer to you. Once you know enough about them, you can begin asking them about the events in their own show. That is, in time, your small talk will grow from, “how was work?” to “did you get your evil manager fired over their bullshit harrasment?”

And that’s the difference between a friend, and someone you know at work.

Eventually, when you learn about these people more, you’ll discover the behaviour they have that aligns with yours. And eventually, you’ll begin doing stuff together with them.

They like casual bike rides? Cool, give it a shot with them! They like seeing matinees on Sunday? Cool join em!

The more you show an interest in how people behave, the more likely it is they will want to include you as part of that behaviour.

    • 3rd. Encourage others. Be their hype man.

You know how they act? Great. Encourage it. Sometimes, even encourage it with you included.

They love bike riding? Great. Tell them about the park near your house they should try. Heck. You can even join em.

People often have goals tied to their favorite behaviours. If you know what those goals are, you can encourage them to pursue them. When they succeed, you will now be a part of it they’ll remember.

In time, you keep up the above, you’ll be surrounded by people you know well, and whom you’ve shared a lot of activities with.

And they will without question enjoy you in their lives for it.

  • Our educations system has been in decline for the last 20 years. Instead foreign money has combine with private interests to blast us with complete made up bullshit propaganda 24/7. Almost all of our major news sources are now owned or operated by MAGA donors, who care more about money than public well being. Basically, half this country is now too stupid to determine if the information they’re viewing is corporate propaganda, or foreign government propaganda. Both are exploitative, and both want Americans sick because it’s profitable to them. So despite having a president that publicly threw out our pandemic response killing more Americans than in all the wars we’ve ever faught in combined - 4 years later we reelected him. That’s how bad the propaganda is here. Combined with poor education, we can no longer agree on how basic cause and effect works.

TL:DR - We’re now too stupid and hopped up on propaganda to understand how preventing diseases works.

  • It’s because billionaires are pussies. They will get upset over the slightest inconvenience, or insult, because the money they have has insulated them from the consequences of their actions.

They’re so used to being praised, and getting their way with everything, that the thought of people not like liking them upsets them greatly.

And the dislike is warranted because most billionaires use their money to buy social credit instead of earning it. They don’t add anything to society, they just pay as much as they can to get artificial praise from it.

For example, Musk bought X, and used it to promote his own BS to make himself popular.

Alternatively, the idiot could have simply rented a blimp and thrown the same 44 billion out of it all across America.

That would without question make him more popular than X has, to the point where people would likely build statues of him.

Instead, he cowers in fear of the word CIS on Twitter because it hurts his feelings.

Now, since he can’t remove the word CIS from reality, he gets scared people will hate him for expressing that desire. And they should hate him, because that opinion can only be formed in a bubble where you don’t experience reality. Aka extreme wealth.

Billionaires use their money to remove themselves from the consequences of their actions.

Free speech is the easiest way to express what those consequences would be in a more natural order.

They fear the violence their greed and behavior has created. They’re just too stupid to understand how one leads to the other.

Reddit is proof of how sensitive they are to this fear. The simplest gesture of protest can go a long way to upset them. Because they’re huge cowards.

  • Been on Reddit for 15 years. Can confirm it’s pretty much a bot hellscape now.

Years ago I noticed the quality of front page posts drop in terms of their basic spelling and grammar. You never used to see typos in what hit the front page because mods actually cared about the quality of what was being posted to their subreddits.

That’s far past gone now in all the top subs. Mostly because the mods there have all been compromised as shills that get paid to gatekeep selected content from bot controlled posters. Now all they care about is volume rather than quality.

That’s why most of the default subreddits and most of what hits the front page is the same regurgitated content with dick-riding commentary that doesn’t discuss much aside from just agreeing with the upvoted group-think of the post itself.

Overall quality in all the top 100 subreddits has declined exponentially in just 5 years, as the mods now heavily favor bot accounts posting more, rather than community members posting gold less often. So the best members of most communities just left, as there was no reason to contribute content that wasn’t going to be seen against a flood of mod approved click bait.

Reddit is now a soulless faceless husk shambling around as if it’s content is from a real community of people, and not a corpo filtered humonculous.

Engagement there, the good kind. Is now rare at best, if at all. And even worse - I’ve found dozens of sites that will just let you buy upvotes and accounts, so making it to the front page just takes some clever marketing spend.

It’s sad to see such a colorful community of people from around the world get invaded and slowly taken over by a body-snatcher like corporate mimic - but that’s the best compliment I can give to what’s left of Reddit.
