    1. Is anybody at all surprised?
    2. Fuck everyone who voted for this disgusting example of humanity. (Or thought they’re both the same, or didn’t think their vote mattered)

I have a “never trump” policy when it comes to people I associate with socially. You’re allowed to vote however you want but you cannot talk to me if you ever cast a vote in his direction.

Yup, the votes for the Senate, house, state Senate, house, board of education, all of those don’t matter either.

Narrow minded people sometimes. I swear

            Wild take.

The house is almost tied. That’s who passes bills, handles impeachments, some of the most powerful committees are.

            218 Republicans, 213 Democrats.

Let’s see, take New York for example.

26 representatives total, 19 Democrat and 7 Republican.

5 of those were within 2 points last time their seat was up.

People who think that New York is blue, their vote doesn’t matter, skips the votes for the House and Senate and end up losing a Blue house seat but later complain that nothing changes are literally the fucking problem.

Let me spell it out for ya…

Every. Fucking. State. Is. Like. This.

Apathetic morons who don’t realize that the president is only held accountable by the other branch of government then wave their hands around when they did jack shit to help put people in place to, are the fucking problem.

District 3 of California was lost by 24,000 votes. District 22 was lost by 3,000.

Those two seats in the house, along with the close ones in New York, Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Washington, hell every state… Are what makes the House of Representatives or breaks it.

So, if you think that your vote for president doesn’t matter, so you skip voting and let these other seats slip, yes, you’re a fucking moron who can’t grasp basic concepts of government that are taught in 4th grade.

And don’t get me started on the State House/Senates, how they define voting laws and voting zones and engage in gerrymandering.

            Every fucking vote counts.

This wasn’t meant to be a “gotcha!” but go reread the original comment. They don’t say “didn’t think their vote for president mattered,” just “didn’t think their vote mattered.”

It’s important because, as the oc pointed out, a lot of people end up not voting in consequential races because they abstain from voting at all. It’s a real problem, as we’re all seeing veeeery clearly right now.

How other people vote is their business. That’s democracy. You gotta be a real self righteous piece of shit to believe they should vote how you tell them to. Trumpesque, even.

I the US 2024 presidential election, there was two names on the ballot for candidates likely to win:

            A) Person that wanted to tax billionaires B) Person with 34 felonies for trying to steal a previous presidential election.

Two choice for a vote. B was picked because TV told everyone that was the smart thing to do, while actual smart people were ignored as too woke.

So now it’s very all of our fucking business that TV got people to vote B.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If you were stupid enough to vote B, or not vote at all when B was on the ballot, then don’t be surprised and sad that said action have now enabled the disappearance of people to prisons with no due process.

The only thing Trumpesque is whining like a bitch now that there’s consequences to B winning.

            The choices were:

            A) Brown Lady B) Constitutional seppuku

So no one here is telling you how to vote - but most here understood what the consequences of voting B would be.

            Did you?

Or are you just now mad to find out crime grandpa is indeed gonna crime? Because no one is going to have sympathy for that level of ignorance. Best you can hope for is a 'Let’s go Brandon" style of whining you could adopt and use to bitch more about the outcome of the election with.

You must have read what I wrote in order to know you don’t care about it enough to say anything. Which no offense, if you also did the same during the last election, explains why you’re so defensive. Because you can run away from my opinion, but you can’t run away from the results of this election. No matter how much you complain about it.

They are all innocent until proven guilty, and even then, they shouldn’t be shipped off to be tortured in foreign prisons.

Don’t worry there’s plenty of innocent people in those inhumane prisons over there. When you suspend civil liberties to throw as many people into prison as possible without due process, innocent people getting swept up into the madness is a feature!

Lastly, the surest but most difficult means of preventing crimes is to improve education (Cesare Beccaria, Crimes and Punishments)
