“Hospital patients burned alive” is becoming Israel’s whole brand identity.
I saw the videos on social media. I’ll never unsee what I saw.
I just read about it and it is bad enough. I’ll paste this quote from someone who was there:
“I swear to God I saw people burning in front of me. By god, no one could do anything. The man, the woman and the little girl burning in front of me, I swear to God. In front of me they burned, in front of me. Their souls left in front of me, in front of us, in front of all our eyes,” said Saleh Al-Jafarawi, an independent Palestinian journalist who filmed the massacre. “No one was able to do anything, no one was able to advance and get them. We tried, but we couldn’t, the fire was so strong that no one was able to advance and pull them out of the fire. They were burned alive. Their bodies were charred. This is a crime that we have never seen and no one has seen like it,” he added in a video posted on his Instagram account. “I swear to God the scenes that will remain in our memories, will remain in our hearts forever. We will never forget the scene that I witnessed today: The scene of the child and he is burning in the heart of the fire and no one was able to help him.”
Be warned that there’s a very disturbing photograph in the source page.
Why do you do that to yourself? It’s unhealthy.
I really hope you get paid because I don’t want to imagine that someone enjoys the suffering of Palestinians that much and purely out of sadism
I don’t enjoy anybody‘s suffering or want anyone to suffer.
Your post history paints a very different picture
Show me a post where I expressed joy over suffering.
holocaust /hŏl′ə-kôst″, hō′lə-/
noun- A great destruction resulting in the extensive loss of life, especially by fire.
The word Holocaust is derived from the Greek holokauston, a translation of the Hebrew word ʿolah, meaning a burnt sacrifice offered whole to God.
I’m Greek and I always thought it’s derived from the words olo (whole, entire) and kafsi (to burn) so as to mean something that burns completely. A quick Google search seems to confirm this but I’m admittedly not an expert on the matter
Now that’s a headline you wouldn’t see on the BBC.
I legit woke up at night remembering this video that I saw yesterday. The boy was 20 and involuntarily I saw the last moments of his life, him stretching his arm trying to reach for help. I hope you’re in a better place now Shaban, this world wasn’t good enough for you.
He was a student. Incredibly horrific.
That was the worst thing I saw in my life. I couldn’t sleep. Israel is evil.
May every Zionist monster meet the same fate that they have inflicted upon the innocents of Palestine. 🙏🏻
Doesn’t it just seem so far away? How could “Hospital patients burned alive” affect my routine?
Lesser evil.
Is that sarcastic?
use your head my illustrious homie.
Can’t do that. First of all, text doesn’t convey sarcasm well. Second, there are actual people here on Lemmy that think and say that. A lot of humans lack any shred of empathy sadly.
I can’t really argue with that logic but in this case you’re talking to OP! They probably don’t think this is less evil than anything seeing how they posted this knowhatimsayin?
The more I think about it the more this was planned out by all 3 sides US, hamas and Israel. Waited for election time to start a war with the middle east with a president that supports the cause and is too old to be here another 4 years. I even think hamas was in on it with its attack which started the ball rolling, its like all the pieces fall together. The only ones who suffer are the innocent civilians just looking for peace. It’s a fucked up world we live in! The only winners here are arms manufacturers on both sides.

“World Socialist Web Site”. No wonder the headline is so biased.
Is it biased if it says exactly what happened?
The headline is heavily biased towards reality, here’s a few more sources supporting the headline
Israel attacks hospital in northern Gaza: https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c80r2y47rz4t
intensifies attacks, Jabalia has been intensely targeted over the last couple weeks: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israel-kills-least-40-gaza-tanks-deepen-raid-north-2024-10-15/
People at the hospital were burning alive: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/israel-gaza-hamas-hospital-bombing-rcna175237
And genocide intent: https://law4palestine.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Database-of-Israeli-Incitement-to-Genocide-DECISION-MAKERS.pdf
Nah they’re just being a dick
What would be an unbiased headline to report that the regime that promised to cut all food and water to northern Gaza with the express intent to kill all who remain there, firebombed a hospital, agonizingly killing the civilians and patients in there?
Wait… which part of this headline is biased exactly?
Versus all the capitalist websites that refuse to call it a genocide.
Imagine having your brain this heavily poisoned with propaganda that a simple truthful headline triggers you this hard.
U.S. voices concern as "deeply disturbing" images show fiery Gaza strike
Yeah it was very important to include the US voices concerns. It will sure makes the victim feels better while they remove their burned flesh off their bones.
How would you rewrite it, o paragon of impartiality?
I got genuinely curious, and so I asked ChatGPT to write a less biased headline. I got this: “Israeli airstrikes target Hamas militants hiding in civilian areas, leading to tragic collateral damage at a hospital in northern Gaza.”
Lol, yea that’s not unbiased. That’s an IDF press release title.
Jezz these 1 dollar-a-day kenyans sure learned their hazbara.
Now trying with an uncensored LLM
