No wonder Alamogordo is such a strange place

The guy has failed to use funds apportioned to Oklahoma schools from both Federal and State sources, and has stonewalled attempts from the state legislature to investigate the Oklahoma DoE. He’s being sued for defamation of a superintendent and has outright defied the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
He’s speedrunning the alienation of his own party.
There might be validity to the theory that everyone who wanted to vote for a “tough guy” already was before the shogt
I tried Dark Souls and quit pretty early because I couldn’t pause. I don’t care about doing inventory or anything like that, but I’d like to be able to just stop things if I need to go check on the door or something. The outside world doesn’t stop just because I’m gaming.
Welcome to the Superwahljahr, Senegal
My experience is this: In Austria they want to speak English. In Germany they want to speak German. On a Lufthansa flight it’s 50/50 whether they ask me questions in English or German.
Really? They seem to pay decently if their advertised rates are true
It’s because education is sold as a way to get a job. Nobody communicates the value of being an educated person other than the salary one could potentially make.
If you haven’t played it, Divinity Original Sin 2 is a fantastic Larian-made RPG that uses a non-D&D system.
Not a native speaker, so I could be wrong about this:
I’ve seen a construction using proper nouns (eg. Annas Haus) where an “s” indicates possession, but no apostrophe. This doesn’t seem to apply to non-proper nouns (das Haus der Frau) and is different from normal genitive construction that adds an “s” to masc/neut noun genders (das Haus des Mannes)
I didn’t like it because they spent so much time doing character development (Barney in particular) and just dumped it all out the window.
The problem is that “women are attracted to nice guys” implies that “being nice” itself is “enough” to be attractive. Guys get this idea that all they have to bring to the table is “I’m not a jerk” and the ladies will fall into their laps. The problem is, the jerk down the road is in better shape, has interesting hobbies, and/or has a real, dependable job. Being “nice” is like having two slices of bread and saying you have a sandwich. If you don’t put anything between the bread slices, everyone’s going to opt to order the burrito instead because it’s got an actual filling.
I consume a lot of cottage cheese. Pre-Covid the 48oz container I buy cost about $2.50. The price spiked to about $5.00 during quarantine and has since fallen down to about $3.00. There’s a lot of items that have followed similar trends and, while they’re more expensive than they were in early 2020, they’re not at their Covid spike prices which is what everyone seems to think.
