Psychedelics have helped me to retain those feelings long after the trip has ended (some indefinitely, at least at time of writing this). I never appreciated a cool breeze until one of those experiences (I always wanted to cover up and shield myself from it before). I’m loving it! There’s definitely a learning curve to the fediverse, but it’s been an enjoyable process and I haven’t felt the need to go back to reddit since switching. All the communities I cared about on reddit either ported over here or have equivalents, and I find the user interactions in comments to be much more level headed and engaging.
