Toastify is apparently something used in the lemmy software to do notifications.
“Toastify is awesome” appears to be the default text. Some other errors that are clear have the same text and colorful square formatting.
So when you see that it is like seeing an error message for “something went wrong” but silly instead.

The heritage foundation has been working on this long before the angry orange was a viable candidate. He is just the current face because he is belligerent enough to follow through on what they want to do and does a bang up job of riling up the conservative base.
If he was out of the picture they would be doing the same things with someone else who wouldn’t be nearly as effective, but they would still be going down the same road.

Even if every employee was equally competent, decision making needs to be consolidated enough that it can be decisive and shared throughout large companies. Complex systems that need to change rapidly gain no benefit from having too many people wanting to make decisions, you only need most of them to be competent enough to complete the work based on the decisions of a small group or the work will end up getting too convoluted and unmaintainable.
There really isn’t a benefit to have everyone understand all of the parts of a large and complex system, if they only have time to work on a portion or to facilitate decisions that take into account the knowledge of the people in the different parts.
Trying to appease fascists by avoiding confrontation or acting when they start chipping away at our insitutions willl just lead to more fascism. The nazis didn’t spring forth overnight, they consolidated their power through legal means and appealed to the population’s bigotry and hatred of ‘others’ without enough of a response to stop their ascension.

Oh, and you will wear out a truck where you regularly pull the max load a lot faster than one where you regularly pull closer to half the load. Those max loads are not intended to be regular.

How hilly is your terrain, and how often do you pull the trailer?
Mostly flat and not pulling often = 1/2 ton, although you might occasionally be annoyed with getting going slowly with the trailer.
If hilly and/or pulling often going for the 3/4 for more consistency would be better.
It is like picking between economical hatchback. Being low powered isn’t generally a big deal if you aren’t loading the back with heavy stuff and driving around flat roads, but if you use the hatch to move a few hundred lbs a few times a week uphill then getting one with a more powerful engine makes sense even if the hatch size is the same.
The biggest advantage to diesel in my outdated experience was low speed torque for heavy loads, especially trailers.

The GOP has been working up to this point for four decades, they aren’t going to wait now that they have the powers set up. They also don’t need to fear the Dems abusing the power because the Dems proved they can’t even get rid of the filibuster the GOP undermined to stack the courts.

The ‘world building’ in Cars, like most fantastical settings for children’s media, is just setting up jokes with no concern for internal consistency or thought about the implications. The audience isn’t supposed to think about it!
That said, this was pretty funny as an example of thinking too much about it is the path to madness.
In high school I made up a pretend religion (order of the gecko) with some friends as a joke that had a positive take without the baggage that the religions we were familiar with. The tenets were about actually being accepting and opposing intolerance.
