I don’t think people should bring guns to work either, but you kind of (intentionally, I assume) dodged my point entirely
Sure, it’s obvious how it sounds, but adults don’t make decisions about their safety based on vibes.
hundreds of millions of suits have been buried underground. this is not the same thing as there currently being hundreds of millions of suits underground
I think the simple fact that depression and anxiety are rising drastically amongst youth is enough of an indicator to say that they are not turning out OK
It kind of feels like you assume I disagree with you in spirit, but I don’t.
Don’t mean to be too pedantic here, but in my opinion colonizer is semantically incorrect as it implies emigrating to distant lands. It’s imperialism, not colonialism.
What they say and what they do are two different things. They say free market but they mean favoratism. They say small government but they mean –you guessed it– favoratism. It’s like how lefties say communism but vote for gun control.
I strongly believe that libertarian ideology does not exist in US politics. We only have two different flavors of authoritarianism. The only libertarians in the US are gun enthusiasts (note: not actually allied with the right at all) and drug dealers.
Who the fuck said that? I sure didn’t. By the way, you are the type of person my comment was about.
Libertarians are a political minority, they control nothing in the US. This is the leftist equivalent of “it’s the damn commies!”
Seems like everyone has forgotten that Jews have inhabited the land now known as Israel for over 2000 years… It’s a simple fact supported by mountains of archaeological evidence yet saying so will undoubtedly incur the wrath of antisemites masquerading as antizionists
I grew up on the internet with no real parenting and I turned out fine.
wonders why I think about dying at least once every 5 minutes every day
I haven’t watched the video yet, I always save his videos for my morning routine.
Anyway, I’m replacing my company blacklist with a whitelist, there’s just too many scumbag companies. The default assumption should be that any given company would leave me dead in a ditch for the chance to make a one dollar profit. They can earn my trust through tremendous effort if they want my money.
I thought the idea was that when we spend USD, we do so under the expectation that our government will protect us from malicious and deceptive companies. When did this change? Anyone remember a time when this was the case, or was it always a fantasy?
I just want you to imagine an alien civilization casually posting AI generated images of humans choking as memes, laughing at it, saying it’s cute, whatever… would the explanation “it’s not real” have a significant impact on how you felt about that scenario? That is essentially what’s going on here, just one level down the food chain. Something about it just feels extremely sinister.
The concept of equivalent exchange is non existent in modern capitalism*, so to the best of my abilities I only spend my money in ways where the balance is in my favor (e.g. spending $20 for something that provides more than $20 subjective value to me)
If the balance is in my favor, I have (in theory) already been paid to promote the product. If I choose to spread the word, it’s to enrich my friends, not the company providing the product.
*Will elaborate if requested
If Amazon genuinely fits your use case, more power to you. I think the problem is the average person being duped into thinking they need Amazon Prime as the default position.
This frog probably died for this photo. Putting them in this pose kills them. I really wish people wouldn’t share images of frogs in this pose because it encourages more people to kill frogs.
I don’t believe them and neither should you. They are looking for an easy PR win and you’re handing it to them. Title should be “Google makes the dubious claim that it will support right to repair”
I didn’t realize you’re the spokesperson for all normies, what an honor. Really though, it is a common sentiment, especially with pre-tipping. When they flip around that iPad and glare at you, there is definitely a sense that the probability of them spitting in your food is not 0% if you hit the no tip button.
Baristas post on their social media about giving non-tippers decaf all the time. If that’s what they are willing to share publicly to the entire world, imagine what people are willing to do secretly.
It’s not the same thing. Tipping is a psychological game that pits customers and servers against each other. It’s “how little can I tip before they tamper with my food” versus “how indebted can I make them feel before they reject it and leave without tipping”
Fuck authoritarianism
