I’m currently totally hooked on Tiny Rogues.

… I’m shocked. I thought all development on subsonic had dried up. I used it and dsub for literal years, but switched to Plex after it seemed I was paying for nothing. :(
Hmm. Data is only for 1/1/23 though 12/15/23. The last 15 days of the year aren’t significant enough to change the outcome? Somehow, I’d think otherwise. For example, I spent $120 at the start of the winter sale, but nothing in Oct-Nov.
Uncertain software support is why I picked a P8p over that device, even when I prefer it’s hardware over the P8p.
These are true criticisms, but I’m not sure if they’re fair. To the best of my recollection, Steam had none of those things in 2008, either, about the time they were the age of the EGS, now.
You could say they should (be able to) compete on the merits alone, without free games or paid exclusivity, but that argument wouldn’t reflect reality: you need a hefty carrot to lure people away from their comfort zone.
Bad take.
I’ll remind you that Steam needs SOME competition in order to actually get better, and I can’t think of anyone else able to do it (Microsoft has kinda already tried and failed). Remember when Steam suddenly addressed long-standing issues with the client and storefront a couple years ago? That was because the EGS appeared.
I’ll also remind young folks that the Internet was extremely negative regarding steam when it was new. Yes, I’ve been on Steam for 20+ years.
Tldr: EGS is fine. Relax.
Edit: clarity
I agree it’s a bad first step. I’d keep trying idea on the table, but I’d start by working with the European car manufacturers to create huge tariffs on those cars. Make it impossible for them to be sold at those prices in Western markets
Hmmm. I own it but haven’t ever played it. Are there bad controls or other bugs or quirks with the original… You know, something that would justify a remake?
Anything in particular? I’m not great at understanding things that aren’t said.
Yes. Cyberpunk and I were oil and water when it was first released. The 2.0 patch made it a different game, and for some magical reason, I jive with it now. It’s one of the best realized worlds. I just finished my first playthrough and I’ll buy the DLC and play again soon!
Until your post, I thought the description was pretty good. I can visualize a Corgi. I can visualize 4 elephants. I can visualize the mass of those 4 elephants in a Corgi shape. It gets a general idea of magnitude across and it’s a neat mental picture.
Four Baby elephants, though? I have a really hard time with that. Why 4 of them? Is that like 1 adult? I can’t visualize a baby elephant relative to a Corgi, let alone to an adult elephant. It’s all complicated.
I think they had a good idea but they fucked up the execution.
I mean, I’d rather have my parents around in my life and my children’s, than have their money.
“Sleep Timer” by CARECON GmbH. Its indispensable for adding a generic sleep timer to any audio or video that does not have such a feature.
Which one? I use “White Noise” by TMSOFT. It’s UI is from 5-7 years ago, but it still works really well. It’s mostly a background noise maker–and has lots of variety–rather than strictly white noise.
I certainly have much better tools to handle my various hangups, but I have a lot more of them, too.
Well, yeah. Maybe that was part of the problem? I don’t know.
I’m really glad it’s working out for you. I have mine still all set up, using the hue hub, but I’m not sure I have a real compelling need to use anything HA offers, yet. It just sits there.
Wait till over 40. You’ll think your 30s were blissful.
What do you do that you carry special pliers every day?
I tried several and most did not play well with the Steam Deck. Serum and the car survival game were the bigger disappointments, there; really wanted to try them.
I’m awake you can download proton hacks to make them work, but that’s not the point, imo .
