Have you heard about our lord and savior Linus Torvalds?
Jokes aside, it’s horrible. The enshittification is real
As a fullstack angular dotnet developer I don’t feel like I’m falling behind.
I read the updates on the state of JS and watch YouTube videos on the new C# and dotnet features and I’m pretty happy with how I’m keeping up with the latest in my field.
That being said “falling behind” is subjective and most people aren’t early adopters. People often wait until they hear recommendations from 3 colleagues before taking up something that is by then old news.
It sounds like she was concerned about the Uber driver and didn’t feel like you didn’t make her feel safe. I think it’s an overreaction on her part but it’s still real feelings.
You can’t win those arguments, you just have to stay calm and say that you’re sorry for not coming down as she was arriving. Then maybe ask if the driver made her feel uncomfortable or whatever.
She doesn’t want answers, just empathy and a feeling that you care about her safety.
Lol, I only comment on lemmy. No insta, tiktok, Facebook, LinkedIn, pixelfed, YouTube or anything.
I also read my own comments so I really do consume my own content and circlejerk my own opinion.
There is content I’d “create” which is shitpost reposting and I’d gladly consume it. The more the better.

Having a good relationship with coworkers is in general great in my opinion and talking about personal life, politics and religion can be avoided with for example:
Then there are ways to differently stop conversations like
Then there’s the general fact that often you don’t really don’t have to say anything as long as you listen and ask exploratory questions. I’m autistic and can barely keep a conversation going but this goes pretty well for me without a lot of effort. Just say stuff like:
And if they somehow end up being sad and almost crying which happens more often than I’d like to admit you can just say “That sucks” put a hand on their shoulder and wait.
Another option would be to invite them to silence like:
People are sometimes uncomfortable with silence but not as much when it’s on purpose.
It’s just conversation lubricant. If you feel like the conversation is interesting then “Have you thought about doing X?”.
I can’t stress enough how much people will like you by just actively listening.
But always, be like the British monarchy, never take sides. Instead propose neutral hypotheticals like “Maybe they were having a bad day”. I’ve been in my fair share of gossip but acting as Switzerland manages to just avoid most of it. When people say “Why are you hanging out with X” then responding with “They never did anything to me”. If really pressed for opinion then say “I don’t know all the details so I can’t really give an honest opinion”. If they still press you after that you have my condolences since that’s toxic.
There’s a method to put headphones into your pocket without them tangling. Fold them in half always instead of coiling them up.
I got an HP printer and it’s prints reliably when connected via USB but that’s about it.
Kim Jong Un has a pretty cool train also to use the rail
Yeah, I have a feeling that they will have very low morale because of lack of motivating factors. Desertion might also become a massive problem since this is one of the few ways to get out of the DPRK.
They have massive amount of soldiers and are good and making artillery and missiles. It is a big black box however since they haven’t been engaged in a conflict recently so all their troops lack experience.
Their economy is practically built for conflict so it shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Because most self hosted things are free already. It doesn’t apply to FOSS.
What kind of bubble do you live in? If you take 2 million people, close their airspace, ports and land borders they’re not going to be happy.
On top of that Israel does the following:
When people are suffocating because someone has their foot on their throat they react. Nobody should be surprised that Oct 7 happened. Especially after Israel was warned many times that they would do something if they continue raiding one of the holiest sites in Islam.
Sorry, I meant to reply to a comment
Sorry, meant to reply to a Zionist comment justifying the Genocide. My sincere apologies.
To actually answer the question:
The war with Hezbollah is in my opinion likely. It has popular support among the Israelis and Netenyahu has been doing whatever to stave off an election. It’ll still be an enormously costly war which will fill people with regret a couple of months after starting it.
There’s another angle where he’ll say “If you vote for me I’ll get rid of Hezbollah once and for all like I did with Hamas” and then delay until he can say “Circumstances have changed” which I think is a better move.
PLEASE ASSUME EVERYTHING BELOW THIS LINE IS OUT OF CONTEXT AND MEANT AS A RESPONSE TO A GENOCIDAL ZIONIST BECAUSE I’M AN IDIOT

I remember that one miracle closely resembles CPR. He put his hands on a body and brought it back to life.
Personally I like Jack Johnson - Upside down for the “Fuck you” as in “Fuck you world, I’m not going to let you ruin my day. I’m going for a walk and to enjoy life.”
