I love this 😂
Hey 👋 I’m Lemann: mark II
I like tech, bicycles, and nature.
Otherwise known as; @[email protected] and @[email protected]
I love this 😂
I’ve seen the redesign too and not really sure how I feel about it 😂 there’s a lot of additional whitespace and it kinds looks like a blown up mobile version of the site
Those are fake mirrors completely missing aniwave’s core features: account watchlists, auto skip intro/outro, auto next, watch together, and the comments don’t even work.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they’re missing the majority of Aniwave’s library too
Edit: The search is horrifically basic too. No filters at all, seriously? The clones don’t even try to compete 🤦♂️
Pirate websites like this usually rely on the shadier ad networks baked into these kinds of video streaming sites to make their money.
There’s no financial incentive to use BitTorrent based streaming, and if they did I feel the torrents would die rapidly just due to the amount of leechers with barely any seeders to offset the ratio disparity (Unless some kind of webseed was available ?)
I recently picked up an iPhone as a secondary device, pretty much immediately disabled iCloud and installed Mobius (Syncthing) so the photos get sync’ed over to my fairphone’s SD card.
Now i’m second guessing whether it’s actually disabled, or if I’m going to get an iCloud full warning in a couple of months…
I use Open Camera on my device, there are some very rare instances where it shows an obscure error saying it can’t find a gallery app. Most of the time though it opens Fossify Gallery just fine
I’m rooted and Google Photos was removed from my device before a single photo was taken, so never seen or heard even a peep from it
.NET runs natively on Linux
Only .NET Core
sadly
When I moved my personal laptop to Linux I needed WINE to run some source-available .NET apps that were written targeting the Windows-only .NET Framework
melodic bass synth plays
And not to mention the custom control panel applets hanging around out there from who-knows-what vendors.
AMD FirePro and Catalyst users are going to probably stay on an older version of the OS, considering most of those users are going to be educational institutions, engineering workshops, makerspaces/hackerspaces etc.
Can’t think of any other vendor products that integrated quite as much into the legacy control panel area
introduce a “years of service”… Isn’t that going to be the next toxic metric people are going to brag with?
looks at Steam account
I feel personally attacked 😂
Plain AOSP doesn’t include a dialer/phone app, camera app, or clock app anymore AFAIK, so for me i’d consider base to be AOSP+GApps
Hope it sees many more years to come!
I was interested in a steel but they’re hard to come across where I am - most likely going to go with a Bangle.js instead for the always-on screen, long battery life and programmability
Platforms like Floatplane, Nebula, Patreon etc make it so easy to support creators outside of YouTube, while also giving creators a larger share of income compared to Adsense.
There’s YouTube Premium… but I don’t think I’m alone in not wanting to give Google a single cent of my hard earned cash
Looking forward to this. I don’t run a custom ROM myself but I am rooted, primarily to revoke permissions from Google apps and to back up my OS and app data as I desire.
However I’d much prefer to be able to run something like GrapheneOS on a Pixel if it meant I could run apps that are picky about Safetynet/Play Integrity, such as banking apps and the like
A while back I made a Lolin32-based weather station that lasts for around 60 days on a single disposable vape battery.
It wakes up every 15 mins, and while it’s connecting to WiFi it retrieves the AM2302 sensor readings. As soon as they’re transmitted it goes back to sleep.
I wish there was a more power efficient alternative though, like whatever is being used in those BLE LYWSD03MMC sensors that last for around 3-6 months on a cr2032 whilst also having a display built in
That sounds horrible, literally couldn’t own anything nice without it getting stolen and your personal space getting trashed…
To combine a bunch of explanations I’ve seen in the comments here:
A bourgeois philanthropist game show producer who dabbles in poverty porn.
That said, I do occasionally burn time watching some of his videos, however some of the content (especially the more recent game show ones which feel a bit like toying with people) rub me the wrong way.
I have no idea if his philanthropy efforts are genuine or not - he’s barely visible in those videos (he has another individual hosting those videos) although I do appreciate the efforts they appear to go to when assisting communities desperately in need, and careful implementation of solutions that are sustainable, and can actually be maintained and fixed with local knowledge.
I’ve seen way too many “gimmicky” charity contributions by other organizations that become worthless as soon as they break because nobody fixes them, as well as other solutions that seemingly make sense from a western cultural lens but aren’t really understood by the local people… worst one being a “merry-go-round” water pump mechanism where senior locals are forced to “play” just to pump water for survival. It was originally intended as a kids toy, but they of course don’t have any attachment to such a foreign device, thus don’t use it.
Ehhh apologies for the mini rant there 😅
The first thing I did after purchasing an MX Master a few years ago was block the update server, after realising it downloads update binaries over plain HTTP and tries to automatically run them on boot 🤡
Very nice mouse tbh, just such a shame the company and their software is toilet water
Thanks for sharing, provided some insight into how YT is doing this.
Seems very easy to bypass if they’re just swapping in new TS HLS/DASH segments, the harder part will be identifying what segments are part of the video and what segments are ads sliced in
For anyone who doesn’t have a device that natively supports this feature, there’s an app on F-Droid called “Privacy Indicators” that provides this for camera and mic access. It uses the built-in Accessibility services to provide this, and needs a couple of other special permissions
You can change the color of the indicator, mine’s red for more visibility.
I installed it from GitHub however, since the F-Droid build was really outdated: https://github.com/NitishGadangi/Privacy-Indicator-App
