Sky Chase Zone - Sonic the Hedgehog 2
I am Lattrommi. Yes, that one. You’ve never heard of me? I’m not surprised. It is often said that anything you put on the internet will live there forever. It becomes immortal. I do everything backwards and wrong. I do not live forever, I am always dying. ¿|√∞²|?

Questioning a bang.
My quick and dirty interrobang with her revealed to me how empty inside I was, unlike the outhouse we were in.
I think I read this post wrong.
I was thinking the sentence “We could be saving the world!” meant ‘we’ as in humans only.
No need to be training AI. No need to do anything with AI at all. Humans simply start saving the world. Our Research Papers can train on Reddit. We cannot be training, we are saving the world. Let the Research Papers run a train on Reddit AI. Humanity Saves World.
No cynical replies please.
usually was about $10 worth of stuff when it was with a trusted friend, if i had a spare clean needle that was worth $5 on its own. If it was a stranger or dealer, it was sometimes as high as $20 worth, again minus $5 for each needle if I had them.
I was on it for a few years. Started with snorting. Wound up injecting regularly, eventually. Kind of.
I preferred other intoxicants. Alcohol, specifically. Doing it drunk, of course is even harder I imagine. I don’t even want to think about that.
I’m terrified of needles. The first time I tried injecting, I fucked it up. Once the needle was stuck in, I passed out, threw up, fell out of my chair and wasted $40 out of $80. Probably in that order. It was just like my first tattoo actually, come to think of it, except the tattoo was $60 and I didn’t wake up with a painful lump on my arm from a sub-cutaneous disaster or dried vomit and heroin all over my pants.
I never tried shooting it myself again. I just closed my eyes and paid someone else do it via parting with some of my supply or providing the needles, since I wasn’t afraid of ordering bulk B&D’s online.
Sober from it since mid-2015.
Crime means breaking the law, correct?
No location is named, so I will assume this refers the laws of physics and reality.
I would:
It’s fun to dream of the impossible.
I made an account and did a one time donation for $2.50. This removes the website donation banner. As long as I’m logged in, I do not see those messages. I get an email about donating once a year, possibly twice. Infrequently enough to be unsure of how often it has happened. If I ever see the donation banner on the website, I know I am logged out. So I can’t answer your query about the corporate aspect but I can say that the heartstring tugging can easily be solved with a one time donation for a small amount. You can do a custom amount for a donation so theoretically it could be for $0.01 or your lowest fiat equivalent.
I’m not sure that’s true, I’m going to ask Jeeves.
just in case someone sticks it in a working drive, add a file to the floppy named
autorun.inf
and add the following to it with a text editor:
[autorun]
open=Microsoft.Media.Player.exe
icon=icon.ico
while i doubt it will actually work, if it does, it would be quite hilarious in my opinion. there’s probably, hopefully, safeguards that prevent such a thing from working and i likely have the syntax wrong, i haven’t used windows in years.
I was not aware of bathing causing dehydration but I can see how it makes sense. Thanks for the correction!
Terrible advice unless it’s with edibles. Smoking weed (or anything else) will lead to dry socket most likely and should be avoided at all costs.
Hi. You’ve gotten a lot of comments already. I hope this one is not lost in the pile.
When I was 39 I had all my remaining teeth extracted in one go. There were somewhere between 12 and 18, since many were remnants and not whole teeth.
Due to the fact that previously in my life I had addictions of many kinds, mostly alcohol and meth related, I was not prescribed opiates. When the procedure was done, I was awake and given only a local anesthetic.
After they were removed, I was given Amoxicillin (antibiotic) and Prednisone (steriod). They recommended I take Ibuprofen and to avoid acetaminophen (same as paracetamol i think). The latter due to many over the counter versions of it have caffiene. That brings me to my first advice.
Avoid caffeine at all costs. It will increase your pain, make you edgier and you may grind your gums in your sleep. Check your paracetamol packaging, make sure it does not have caffeine. You might want to avoid it regardless because it can irritate your stomach lining and you’ll be swallowing a lot of blood which increases your chance of vomiting.
If you vomit, you will almost certainly get dry socket.
You do not want dry socket.
Ice cream is painful. Anything too cold or too hot is painful. Soup should be room temperature.
Bouillon cubes aren’t bad, if you can get liquid soup stock or broth, it works better.
Do not eat breads for at least a week or two. It sticks to you clots. That can easily lead to dry socket.
You do not want dry socket.
Same thing with (american) bananas. They might seem perfect but they can cause dry socket potentially from their stickiness.
I have had dry socket. Once from smoking cigarettes. Once from being clumsy with a spoon. It was the worst pain of my life until I had to pass a few kidney stones.
Avoid foods that require cooking. You don’t want to cook.
One a day shakes should be your new best friend. Meal replacement shakes. Here in the states they come in chocolate and vanilla and don’t taste terrible. Brands include Ensure, Boost, Slimfast and a ton of others. They are packed with protein. They often have vitamins in them too. You can just pour the shake right into the back of your gullet. Bypass your gums and tongue entirely.
Another medication to consider is sleeping pills. I’m spelling them wrong but see if you can get Amitryptaline or Tramadol. Sleep as much as you can while your body heals.
Water, water, water.
Drink at least 2 liters a day. Never drink more than 1 liter in an 8 hour period because water poisoning is very uncomfortable. If your pee is clear, you don’t need to drink water for awhile. The better hydrated you are, the faster you will heal. Drink a lot of water after drinking one of those meal replacement shakes if you can find them. Your body will absorb the water better. Same applies to the soup stock.
On that note, shower. If it is too painful, take a bath. Again, this helps you stay hydrated, plus is will improve your mood possibly, which in itself can ease the pain.
Move. Walk around the block if you can. You want to get your heart rate up and keep it up for about 15 minutes, twice a day. Again, this helps your body heal faster. Walking is great unless you are a daily runner, in which case run. Walking is enough for most people.
A perfect routine would be:
I am not a dentist or medical professional.
I am not a professional of any kind.
This advice is all from personal experience.
Here’s some useless personal information that can be skipped:
December of 2021 when my teeth were all removed. Since then I have gotten dentures. They didn’t fit and hurt to wear and needed adjustments, but the dentist that made them quit the business a week after I got them. Other dentists would not take my insurance or work on them for liability purposes. Sucks being in america. I opted to get implants instead. I’m supposed to have a full set of teeth in about a month, at age 42, for the first time in my entire adult life.
Good luck. May dry socket never happen to you.
Edit after reading a few of the comments here.
Fuck these naysayers that think you’re making this up. Even if you are, fuck 'em. Trying to shit on a person while they are already down. No benefit at all, just cynics, they’re disgusting.
I’m going to add that my teeth were in terrible shape long before I had addiction problems. My dental problems were due to braces getting fucked up and mangled beyond belief by a scammy dentist/ortho.
Medicaid and Medicare can be free healthcare in the states. While I don’t think OP is in the states, it is a thing that the poorest of people can receive and the care is exactly what you pay for. All the questions about speaking to a doctor or the dentist about pain management are laughable, knowing that for the poor in the states, that simply doesn’t happen in many areas.
People saying OP deserved it from not brushing or questions about how one could need a full extraction at age 40 are ignorant and can’t summon even the smallest bit of empathy. These types along with the naysayers can go fuck off back to reddit or 4chan or whereever they came from. They are not adding to the conversation.
If you have read all this, anyone not just OP, I hope you have a nice day.
to reply to the question posed within the meme itself:
using the same physics which allow the creature to exist, i would create a device that consists of reflecting and refracting matter, like prisms, echo chambers, mirrors and lenses, with the overall capability to reflect and project a distorted ‘circus mirror’ holograph version of the creature at a subatomic level, which appears to be an order of magnitude larger, directly behind it.
then, when it turns around to face its new illusory foe, i would tie its shoelaces together.
Charlotte’s Web.
All billionaires in electric chairs.
currently my only option for internet is by tethering my phone mobile data. i do it with a usb hotspot. i have a wifi router but it seems unnecessary, complicated and slower than usb, so it is not currently in use. it’s an android phone and a linux computer but i don’t feel i know enough about either device or networking in general. should i be worried or do things different? i don’t have much that’s important. i still fear i might be doing things wrong.
i got my amateur radio license (U.S. technician) about a month ago at a big convention. i was thinking of suggesting the hobby to the poster but first read through the comments, to check if it were suggested already. your initial advice is probably better. i’m realizing i overloaded myself and burned out during the time leading up to the test and now i’m not entirely sure why i tried getting the license in the first place. i still don’t even have a radio. I think i wanted to learn more about electronics and one thing led to another. now my mind goes blank when i try to think about what to do. i’m not OP but found it to be good advice, thanks.
Not quite related to the initial post topic, but “Every billionaire, deserves the electric chair.” is a phrase I’ve been spouting for the past few years. I like to think it’s a more extreme version of “Eat The Rich.” but probably not as catchy nor as easy to spraypaint onto stuff.
The 2019 Memorial Day tornado outbreak. Less than a week away from the 5 year anniversary of it.
My apartment is located roughly 500 feet (152 meters) from the end point of an EF4 tornado that hit and about 1500 feet (~450 meters) of the start point of an EF3 tornado that hit. One ended and the other began within minutes of each other.
I recall I looked out of my front door and could only see the sideways winds. I had just woken up after sleeping all day because I was tired, having stayed up late the night before, burying my cat which had eaten mouse poison, which I was unaware of the symptoms for until it was too late. I had to bury my cat a second time then next day and broke my hand in frustration while doing it.
My power was out for 10 days and I had no water for 6 days. I didn’t own a car and public transportation had halted in my area from trees blocking the roads. I walked 4.5 miles to a nearby Urgent Care for my hand but they had closed due to damage. From there I walked 9 miles to the nearest hospital. They had too many people. I gave up waiting to be seen after 8 hours and went home, then wrapped my hand with bandages myself, around an old brace I had from a previous unrelated broken wrist.
When my power came back, I learned that a power surge had fried the power supply of my computer. I eventually managed to check my email at the community college, which is when I learned my health insurance coverage through Medicaid had ended, thanks to an order from the president at the time.
My absentee landlord never checked on the building. Less than a month later, the in-wall A/C unit fell out of the wall, leaving a hole large enough for me, a 6’3" 250 lb man, to easily crawl through. It was there for 6 months before it was repaired by the landlords maintenance person, who bought a cheap window unit A/C and stuck it in the hole then filled in around it with expanding foam.
The hole was ‘fixed’ around the same time I was able to buy a replacement power supply for my computer. My data storage drive had also stopped working and I learned an important lesson regarding backups. That was right around Christmas time.
Unrelated to the tornados, that’s about when I started passing kidney stones. I tried to go to the hospital for them but without insurance, they turned me away. It wasn’t considered an emergency. I missed several days of work while I passed them at home. Work said because of the amount of time I missed, I needed a doctors note to return to work. Work would schedule me 6 hour shifts, 6 days a week, which comes to 36 hours. Employees needed 40 hours a week to be considered full time and to qualify for the company insurance. Without insurance, I couldn’t find a doctor who would see me. I was terminated and the reason they listed was that I abandoned my job.
My official last day with the company was 31 December 2019. I was ready to start a new year. 2019 had not been kind to me. I remember thinking to myself on New Years Day “At least 2020 can’t possibly be worse, right?”
Do you spend a lot of time in the dark? How much natural sunlight do you get?
I ask because I have felt like what you describe. Vitamin D deficiency might be a contributing factor. Supplements might help but the best thing is to spend time outside for 3 hours per week minimum, preferably in a natural setting away from gas powered vehicles.
Start doing something. Anything. Move your body. It can be as simple as walking for 30 minutes a day. You can get your sunlight while you do it. It’s fine if it is cloudy, it is not as good if you are indoors, even if there are windows. Exercise will get your blood moving. The hormones which regulate your mood might be malfunction or waste could be getting built up in your brain and causing depression. Get your heartrate up, let the blood carry waste out.
Does your degree have legs? Is it supposed to carry you around? No, of course not. I think. I don’t actually have a degree. If I had one, I would be taking it to places. Especially places that have a use for it. Are there no jobs where a computer engineering degree is needed near you? These days even small businesses need an IT person. If there are none, start your own. I do not know what starting a business entails in Cambodia but it may be simpler than you realize. Start a computer repair shop. Offer to recover data for regular people, like photos from old hard drives and flash drives or sd cards with testdisk. Do it cheap, give discounts and start with a warning that you might not be able to recover anything or fix their computer and that you are a last resort, when no where else can help or they can’t afford a professional place, so you don’t have to worry about failing. Make a name for yourself.
It’s not too late for a career change. If your country is in the toilet, become a plumber. If it is rapidly becoming worse, find a way to slow it down, work to turn it around in any way you can think of. Become a politician and overthrow the goverment or die trying. At least you might die a hero instead of ending it yourself and being quickly forgotten.
Indeed is trash. Find anything else. Even Fiverr.com or Legiit.com are probably better.
Last advice: Pick a goal. Even something stupid. Work towards it. Do not expect to acheive the goal. It is only the carrot on a stick to lure you to anywhere that is not the place you are now. You might be led to where you are supposed to be along the way.
