How can a server know exactly what domain name they were accessed from or if they were accessed directly through IP?
To me, dns was just words->IP and then the computer connects using the IP so how would the server know what domain name was used
Because cloudflare is literally everywhere. One service acting as middle man for so many sites means they can do a lot of stuff. It’s the same reason people want to decentralise services, we dont want a central authority.
Edit: I personally have dont care much if there is cloudflare, Im just giving a possible reason cloudflare might be bad.
how are the new versions trash? do you think the base model is bad too?
I tried their most popular and featureful client(element) but it looks like their video calling still relies on jitsi which has very subpar screensharing support. And it seems that it’s because jitsi is for video conferencing type stuff so when I put an issue up about it, they didnt care that e.g. it was not good above 5fps
It can do it based off of liked videos and videos you put in playlists. Thats what it seems to be doing for me.
