And people are testing their drugs for fentanyl now because of that hyper awareness. Public awareness, easier access to narcan, and fentanyl test strips are probably big contributors to the decrease in OD deaths

Fentanyl in weed can be a thing though. Scales used by dealers who are weighing different drugs, aren’t necessarily cleaning the scale between use. Cocaine is the bigger offender in that scenario though, and can definitely lead to a way easier overdose than weed would
That’s what happened to me. Used one for the first time at a hotel — bought one not long after and will never go back. Got like a $30 one and am still using it over 4 years later. I’ll probably upgrade when I have the extra money, realizing just now how long it’s been since I got it
That’s freaking cool, I never knew that. Appreciate the link
Check out “slow scan tv” if you haven’t already. I have my amateur license and was surprised to learn all of the ways in which radio waves can be utilized
Shit, a standard thread feels natural to me, but a left hand thread still fucks my life up sometimes — trying to notice what’s going on before I strip it.
My grill can connect to those camping propane tanks, but it’s threaded opposite… gets me every time
Clockwise and counterclockwise may be more intuitive for some people. Is the clock-hand (wrench) going forward in time, or backwards. But I don’t know of any quick rhyme for that
I can carry 3 full pint glasses in one hand and 2 in the other. If they’re empty, I can carry 4 in one hand and 3 in the other. It comes in handy more than I would expect
Damn, I forgot about Smash TV. Idk how much time my friend and I spent on that game as kids
I believe a trebuchet may be the way
You mean “ancient plagues”. It’s scarier that way, because of the ‘implications’
I thought Chrome was planning to oust ad blockers in 2024. Idk if that’s true though, maybe I’m mis-remembering.
I’ve kinda stuck with Firefox for many years now because I never saw any reason not too. I honestly hardly ever used extensions though (except ad blockers), so maybe there’s something I don’t understand about any downfalls of Firefox. I just don’t see any, especially nowadays. It just works for me, so I never fully switched.
I’ve tried other browsers, but I just come back to Firefox ever time. It’s a comfort at this point
Thank you! Placed my order and it was surprisingly really simple. I like to keep tests around and they can be expensive, so this was awesome! Much appreciated for the info
I don’t trust anyone named Lenny. Lemmy is cool though
It’s like a bastion of the interwebs that I didn’t realize was still happening. I was wondering where everyone went lol
Maybe. Federated sure seems to be what I’m going to stick with for now. Hopefully more seemless interaction will happen (in time) between platforms… but I’m already fully converted
I just discovered the joys of sitting to pee this past year. I just never thought about it before, and only sat to pee if I had to poop too… though I can’t say I ever cared whether someone else sat or stood to pee
But I had two separate fainting spells while standing to pee after getting out of bed (orthostatic hypotension), and almost really hurt myself the second time. Now, I often sit to pee at home because it’s just more comfortable (and apparently safer). Live and learn I guess
