Mind your expenses and plan to save where possible just in case
So… like always? Nothing changed. We are already fucked.

I don’t think a casual user would in many cases even be able to tell the difference. I mean you have a desktop with some icons which most of people only use to start the browser which is absolutely identical in both systems.
You have a start menu with other programs and you have a task bar which shows the open programs and some status icons and a clock.
It is really not that different. Most people just start a browser and go on Facebook or eBay or whatever, use a simple word processor for the daily needs. I don’t think they would be able to tell the difference.
works flawless here on Android 14 with Firefox 126.0.1. not tested desktop yet.
Imagine living in a country where a landlord has a say about what pets you are allowed to have. absurd.
Yeah i tend to forget that github is in the US and their allmighty DMCA can be used to take down anything. i just have a hard time believing this shit would fly in the EU.
Did not get a e-mail but my fork is gone. That can’t be legal can it? I’m in the EU.
Yea, that is nonsense. While the law says “Anyone who unlawfully damages or destroys another person’s property is liable to a custodial sentence not exceeding two years or a monetary penalty.” this basically never happens. He likely will get a small fine (if any).
Do actually get the 2 years you would have to do some very serious damage. As example a couple of years ago someone got 2 years (on probation) because he set fire to the restaurant he was working on.
You won’t be locked up here for 2 years because you drilled a few holes in the wall…
You are not alive at that point. you are braindead. your heart is kept on pumping but you are definitely gone.

yeah, but to be fair, we get a lot of free shit for it.
thats gross salary. i mean net salary.
I tend to exaggerate, but my actual income is just under €12,000 a year. Adult german but can’t work full time for health reasons. But even with a average income here you would rarely go over 25.000€, which is still a joke in comparison what this guy makes.
a year? i don’t make that much in 10!
i could live a whole long life with what this guy makes in a week.
It was posted yesterday with a different video that goes more into details what this is all about, the old records and how these were achieved and what the “true killscreen” (this crash) is, etc. I didn’t think it would actually be that interesting, but I watched the whole thing and quite enjoyed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuJ5UuknsHU
Germany has currently a 80 billion euro hole in its budget. It does not even has the money to pay for the existing situation.
Yes. The former DDR part is commonly still called that. It still differs noticeably from the West in terms of culture and level of development. Unfortunately, the entire region has moved significantly to the right politically. So much even that an openly right-wing extremist party has a majority in multiple parts of it.
Recyling can have multiple meanings. e.g in germany most bottles are meant to be used multiple times. e.g plastic bottles are refilled up to 20 times. throwing stuff in the recycling bin is only for things that are meant to be melted down and recast.
correct!
