I read that as a poem, is it supposed to be one? It’s pretty good regardless of if that was intentional lol.

Yeah mayo has fallen off hard. Like pretty much any other hospital in America, they only care about making money but they can easily get away with shit since they have prestige from long ago. You really shouldn’t have had to wait anywhere near that long to hear from them. I imagine that they are probably understaffed especially since mayo (like many other hospitals) treat their staff like shit.
I have a lot of family that work in healthcare and a lot of hospitals seem to be a dumpster fire behind the scenes and are horribly mismanaged. The exception to this seems to be smaller hospitals/clinics that haven’t gotten bought out yet.
Sorry you had to deal with that. Also I saw your post about potentially leaving lemmy and I have to say that I do like your posts. I think the mean people are a lemmy.world issue since they are so big they are like a troll magnet.
I’m a trans woman and I honestly think that I very well may end up having to hide myself in my parents attic or something.
I went to Virginia once years ago before I transitioned. I’m from the north and I’m white as fuck and the TSA there was extremely rude to me just because of that. However they were even worse to foreigners. Like they purposely did things to delay them so that they would miss their flight and when other people tried to help those people not miss their flight the TSA would get all aggressive and threaten everyone. It was by far the worse travel experience I’ve ever had and given that I’ve transitioned now I’m never going anywhere even near the south ever again. I feel really bad for the poor souls that are stuck living there.
I had not heard of duck duck goose until I was like 15 and my mind was blown.
No because I have COVID :(.
As a trans woman who works out but doesn’t really do sports because people make them suck, I have to say that I don’t think that study is correct based of my experiences. Trans women often have lower testosterone than cis women after being on hrt for a while (2 years max typically, but it can be sooner). When I started hrt, literally only about 2 weeks later I noticed massive muscle atrophy and I literally couldn’t even help my father move heavy furniture that I doubt I would have had a problem with before. After that I decided to start lifting and it’s been a few months since then I am still not as strong as I used to be.
I’m currently using Kubuntu, although I’m planning on switching to Debian or maybe NixOS at some point. Kubuntu works, but I don’t like snaps, and even though I’ve removed them I’d rather just not ever have to deal with them.
I first started with Mint, but didn’t like gnome/cinnamon which is why I switched to Kubuntu, but other than that it was fine.
