It’s pretty awful but since it’s centered it at least helps with it being kinda flush while laying on the desk. My fold 5 camera is so fucking big and off to the side of rocks like a mother anytime I have it like that.

Tachij2kfriends, I saw the mihon dev post somewhere that tachij2k shouldn’t be used anymore. Is there a reason for that? Everything is still working on my end, and until it doesn’t I intend to just keep using tachij2k unless there’s a good reason not to. I also read somewhere that the Dev for j2k said he was gonna make some changes, but I wasn’t able to verify that… Anyone know anything more? Thanks
Where are you guys sourcing your manga? I’ve bought a few on Amazon and converted them to epub. I also have some raws from bookwalker but as far as I can tell their stuff is super locked down. Where else could I acquire manga?
Was hoping since Japanese is so popular with nerds that a JP community would be active but that one’s dead too. Basically if it’s not techy it’s probably not gonna be active here on Lemmy.
The literal endless abundance of things to do. Idc if my place is a closet if I’m never in it. Obviously if you’re raising a 5 person family it’s harder, but if you’re solo or DINK then why wouldn’t you
Disneyland was charging $1850 for five people for one day at Disneyland and one day at California Adventure, genie plus (some kind of fast pass replacement), and then has the gall to make some rides ineligible for the genie plus and instead you have to pay $28 a head for the fast pass. Why can’t we just wait in line? Why did the mouse feel the need to monetize every single interaction in the whole park? As great as the design is in Disneyland, definitely left a sour taste in my mouth knowing that a poor family has an objectively worse experience than a rich one, especially on Christmas. Some rides had a 90, 120 minute wait.
Californian checking in, never have had a white Christmas 👍
I don’t even know what that means… Like you got a sharpie mark on you? Permanent marker on a white board? What scenario is that lol
I get the sentiment for sure and nothing looks worse than seeing 5 of them knocked over on a sidewalk but they were pretty nice. Here in Seattle it’s hilly as fuck so walking down a hill to downtown then scootering back up was nice. Hopefully a good bike share can replace them.
Green/blue bubbles is just a simple way to say sms sucks. Besides those stories about teens getting social pressured, all anyone cares about is basically just sending photos that don’t look like they were taken 20 years ago.
Never pre ordering anything for any reason ever has been a pretty good piece of advice to live by, I’ve found.
Yeah I feel you that was me for a while. Eventually I said enough was enough and every time I came across a service that was linked to my Gmail I unlinked and made a new account. It doesn’t have to be all at once, slow and steady wins the race too.
There’s alternatives for all of that, why are you stuck on Google? You could create a new email on a different site or host your own and there would be no differences between it and a gmail account. For photo services you could build a nas that has auto backup and never pay a penny again to Google. I understand they are pervasive in the modern world so it’s hard to escape but there’s always options.
Every tech article I read nowadays I feel like has the appendix, “which is illegal in the EU.” Lol
Damn, that looks great. Love the watchface and the fact it has gmt markings. Wish it was easily available stateside.
I honestly thought the same for a little bit, buying a phone with no camera bump is literally all I want… And comboing it with a foldable is a dream scenario for me. This moment @ 2:44 kinda kills the dream though. You can see it’s kind of cocked and it rocks during the video. I just hope one day people realize cameras nowadays are all so similar that we don’t need to keep making bumps 10x the depth of the phone.
Wow, based. It looks like her documentary is good too, I’ll check it out.
The problem in the US is that the iPhone has a huge amount of the market and iMessage mostly does that already. For Android to counter that you have to use a 3rd party app, which further fractures an already smaller market. Or everyone could just use sms which is free with basically every plan nowadays, which gets you by.
