Yeah, i checked out the Shein website today. Was not a fan.
Nice! Will see if those work.
Just checked it out. Thank you for this suggestion. Never heard of it before.
Isn’t Kohl’s like Marshalls where you have to search through all the clothes hoping yey have your size rather than having a selection of options and picking out your size? Always found it tedious digging through the randomness.
Yes! I loved wearing scrubs. Moreover, each patient care specialty (MD, RN, PT dietary, etc.) wear their own specific colors. Didn’t have to think about anything other than making sure they were washed.
I’m just the opposite. Short legs. Normal person’s capris are like regular pants for me 🤣
No jeans. Just the usual pants/blouse. I don’t do heels…well at least not high ones. Must be comfortable.
Ah. I understand. I think I got more caught up in the Amazon part than the biometrics. They seem to be increasingly intrusive.
I don’t believe that credit card companies can see individual itemized groceries. Please correct me if I am wrong. I was thinking that Amazon having information as a direct connection to your food purchases (and general nutritional value thereof) would give more details into nutritional habits that could be linked to medical issues. Ex: products with a lot of sugar for diabetics, products high in sodium for persons with high blood pressure or heart failure, etc. With the more detailed information to be potentially shared with third parties, if it was a health insurance company, I am sure they would gladly use that information not to pay for certain medical treatments that they would usually cover using non-compliance to diet as an excuse.
Also “they don’t pay me enough to give a shit about how it’s cut”.
Biometric data and food shopping habits. Share this to health insurance companies and they will come up with reasons why not to pay for certain health conditions. That’s my guess. Dangerous territory.
You do you. It seems like many folks don’t wish to give reddit any more of their time, others would like to see more people join the fediverse, some may not want to invite more Reddit users due to various reasons (increasing trolls, having people shit on lemmy because it is not yet polished and they can’t figure it out, increasing strain on servers, or whatever their reason is). While we are still freshly in the post-migration phase since the implemented changes, we may still pick up a few new users, but I don’t believe we will have such a surge again until there’s another big change perhaps at the point where casual participants get fed up with the billionty ads, shitty app, and trolls who stay to earn their karma.
Lol no worries, friend. I assumed it was a staged photo for the article. Still thought it was amusing. :)
