God I swear the American Christians are fucking insane.
I’ve never heard such BS before. At least not from any church I know here in Australia.

I guess I need a second set of shoes so when I send my old ones off to the shoe repairer I still have something to wear.
That’s my problem now, Ive only got one good-ish pair, and they ain’t leather
Not only that, but aside from fossil fuels, what’s the next worst culprit of greenhouse gas emissions? Fashion. Our practices in producing cheap, poorly made replaceable clothes and not making the effort into at least splashing out into clothes that last longer and maybe even repairing what we’ve got is a huge problem.
Most pairs of shoes I buy often don’t last longer than 3 months. And when I do finally get one that lasts longer I wear them till the soles fall out of them. My current pair I’ve had for at least 2-3 years.
Just use dishwashing powder and laundry powder/liquid.
Dishwasher pods kinda suck anyway. And most dishwashers have a spot for powder during the prewash, which it’s highly recommended to use. (Look up technology connections videos on the topic)
Yes it was, but in some ways Nintendo still succeeded In what I believe is their goal - to scatter the developers.
By shutting down Yuzu, they fragmented everyone into forking their own copies and competing to become the next Yuzu.
What’s more of a threat to them? One emulator with thousands of contributors, or 1000 emulators with 2-5 contributors each?
The best thing about open source is the pooling of developers and resources. While forking is neither a good nor a bad thing, it does tend to break up the developer pool.
It could take anywhere from months to years if at all for everyone to finally settle on a single fork and get back to the level of developer pool that originally existed - then if that happens, Nintendo can come along and do it all over again, at least untill they don’t see the value in continuing.
True just look at how long project64 v1.6 has been around
Honestly, as an honestly pretty unspiritual Christian, Street preachers make me unnecessarily angry. Because it feels like they’re just bible bashing and aren’t actually doing anything to further Christianity’s goals, despite the fact they think they are. Individuals can’t win people over by shoving their beliefs down people’s throats.
I feel like the only people who listen to these guys are people who agree with them. Most people ignore them in my city.
Yep all you need to do is find a copy of the firmware (you actually can get the latest firmware from the internet archive) and the decryption keys (they’re a little bit more difficult to find, can’t remember where I got them from, but it took a long time for me to find a working download)
Nope, you have to obtain the decryption keys yourself - I spent hours hunting around online for a set of console keys and firmware dump to get the emulator working on my steam deck.
If you own a moddable switch you can dump the keys legally, but I don’t plan on doing that any time soon.
I recognise that internet router on the right. That looks like the “smart router” Telstra gives their customers - we have one we used to use back when we had Telstra cable. It’s currently playing the duty of an Ethernet switch for dad’s office.
To me, they can keep what they’ve already got from me, they just won’t get any more directly from me- I don’t trust them to honour data deletion requests properly anyway.
I’ve already deleted my account, and never put a deletion request beforehand. And from what I hear you have to do it before you delete your account for them to even give you a chance of honouring the deletion request.
The biggest problem with statistics is it doesn’t illustrate the full picture - most men in that position don’t even realise they’re being abused, or refuse to come out and acknowledge it.
Those men don’t end up as apart of the statistic. So the statistic is more a indicator as to which gender is more likely to report their abuser, than which gender Is actually a victim.
No statistic is going to be accurate, because it generally relies on the data being available, when often not all of it is.
Man your daughter is lucky, I don’t even have a dishwasher. I am the dishwasher. I used to have one, but then we moved house.
In the end it doesn’t matter how it’s stacked so long as they come out clean - don’t forget to fill the prewash section with powder, it helps immensely.
Yeah, it’s not really teaching kids not to use it, but it will be a great teacher for how to bypass internet blocks. Young people already lie about their age on platforms, I mean I did that when I was younger.
It’s only a few steps further to change DNS or VPN to an area that allows underage and doesn’t require strict age verification.
We really need to get these guys out of the office. Why are we caring about impeaching presidents, we need to keep a close eye, catch them doing illegal shit and impeach the supreme court justices. Obviously hold off until the US has a president that can appoint good, fair judges - I don’t believe Trump is capable of that, and Biden is at best borderline capable.
Huh, I didn’t know that. Well that’s fucked.
I guess it makes some sense though - you’d want some form of backing if you’re going against the establishment, so why not the enemy of the one you’re going against?
I already thought that none of them really deserved the prize, but I guess I probably shouldn’t have been ranking them.
Wat.
The only one who even remotely deserves the peace prize is Assange.
The rest have all been sowing more division among lines than bringing people together. At least Wikileaks was invented to inform the public about shady shit going on in government.
That said it’s not necessarily been a good thing as wars can easily happen directly as a result of leaked documents. Every government has secrets. And sometimes rooting out corruption can be pretty damned violent.
However Assange never meant to sow discord, only to inform people of problems and issues that were kept under wraps - the people deserved to know this information, even if it resulted in violent rioting.

I finally switched to AMD on my main desktop. Holy crap does it just work. I went straight for hyprland over my previous XFCE based desktop.
I enjoy tinkering so having some programs that just work and some that need a little push is great for me. Gaming is pretty easy these days - games that straight up don’t run I just don’t buy, and protonDB or even the proton issue tracker and wineDB for tips and tricks.
However with DEs I tend to set one up, and keep it how I set it up. I had XFCE for a total of 3 years with no changes. Hopefully I can do the same with Hyprland. I usually only try a new one when reinstalling Linux.
I don’t know that! AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa
