Now is literally the time to fight for a new party. We’re 4 years away from a general election, the next elections are local which means it’s way more realistic and up to all of us to actually go and run with/vote for this “new” party. We have 4 years to work on the message getting a wider spread and even if it doesn’t, we’ll have the Congress if all goes well.

The conservative people that run my job think they’re funny or something. We get a the standard holidays off but if the 4th of July or whatever falls near a weekend they’ll swap another holiday to make it a 4 day weekend.
The only holidays they “trade away” are MLK day and Juneteenth… Funny that.
It already has, can’t you feel it? It’s that warm feeling that starts on your head and drips down.
I mean the owners of meta and Twitter also want the current version of America to collapse too. They’re as much of a threat in that respect as any foreign country is.
I’m 100000% of the mind that this is purely a profit thing. Tictok got too big and no Americans are getting enough of a cut of that so they want to take it. Same with BYD. It’s a threat to American electric car makers so they need to “do away” with it.
It’s not even a national security issue… If it was the government would actually dig into the app and see if there was anything malicious in there. It’s a profit thing. They’re all mad that American companies aren’t getting a cut.
What national security issue is there with China having data about our location and not the same issue with American companies that poorly secure that data if at all and willingly sell it to anyone, probably even other Chinese companies?
It’s always about greed.
So if it’s possible then it’s possible for the government to have that done by people that are capable.
That would tell me then that it’s more than likely not a national security concern, it’s a profit concern. Apparently Zuckerberg was a major actor pushing for this ban as it is, he supposedly kept harping on the security aspect. :/
Anyone know if it’s possible to take a program and “decompile” it? Like reverse engineering or something so it could be verified to be “clean?”
I imagine with all the resources the government has they could achieve such a thing if they were really concerned about national security and not really just worried about metas profits.
I mean what would Elon buying it have really changed about the actual code of the apps? It would just change who gets the profits, no?

He figured out how tictok works, even got himself a damn Bluetooth speaker but can’t bother to take the hint from the rest of us and get headphones…
The older I get the more I think God might actually exist, he’s just a massive piece of shit that values torment.
I can definitely relate to a lot of that. I’m in a similar position in some of those areas, but one thing I can say for sure is that people don’t need to be family or even acquaintances to care about each other.
Just knowing you’re out there and in pain is enough for me to hope things improve for you. I may not know you, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about someones suffering coming to an end.
I definitely understand the not wanting to live bit as well. I’m only still here because I’m lucky enough to have a family that would be upset if I did anything to myself so I’m just waiting until my older family members pass on. Hopefully you find something that makes that desire go away as well. I can’t say it helps me in the moment, but it is true regardless that none of us can see the future so you never know what might happen to change things down the line.
