“Strong” as in a very brief period in the 1930s the Nazis worked with Zionists to get Jews into Palestine.

I think you would have a very difficult time making the case that they have had a strong link ever since or consistently for any period in history including right now.

I think pretty much everyone is living in various states of denial.

Some don’t care and never will care about facts or logical thinking. They are driven by emotion exclusively and go wherever it takes them. Usually anger and depression.

Some are too stupid to recognize facts or logical thinking.

Many people who think they are above others because they have all the facts and they think they are being logical at all times, but in reality they have at best misunderstood facts or selective facts.

This is isn’t unique to one party or group either. Every single group of people has idiots who think they know everything. Poorly educated who think they understand everything. I believe that generally speaking most people think they are doing the right thing and they want the best for themselves and others around them.

Never attribute to malice what can accurately be explained by incompetence.

People need to stop forgetting about Hanlons Razor

My ears always perk up when somebody starts yakking about Zionism. (Not that I support the Palestinian genocide or Israel, blah, blah, blah.)

I don’t really understand why it’s such a big thing on Lemmy. Is it a tankie thing? A non-US perspective that I’m not used to? Some weird strain of Leftist ideology?

It has been my experience that people going on about Zionism get real pissy real quick. They also seem to be somewhat detached from reality. Detached from like working and struggling for a living. It seems counterproductive to the Left’s goals a lot of the time.

Is it kids that have picked up a bunch of talking points from somewhere?
