Without knowing the details or the reality of what is being discussed, I found the post pretty easy to parse:

there’s some trend where people are putting pictures of people/things they want to bone on cakes, women are putting all sorts of weird stuff on the cake, therefore the problem isn’t how attractive/unattractive you are.

It’s targeted at incels, it’s funny, and it makes sense even if I have no idea about the apecifics or if it ever really happened.

If someone on the internet can’t make heads or tails of this, I worry about their media literacy.

As someone who voted for her, if you could stop blaming others for having strong feelings regarding who they give their vote, that’d be very chill. At this point I am pretty comfortable telling you that you’re causing more division and strife than you are helping. And, as far as I last understood, you’re out of here, right? If you could do me a favor and stop demotivating those of us trying to stick it out and fix it, I’d take it as a kindness.

It hasn’t been funny for years, probably more than a decade at this point for anyone paying enough attention.

The premise of being outpopulated wasn’t necessary: all we had to do was decide to become a country based around “reality” TV - completing the shift that really kicked off when we elected Reagan, screen actor, to massively restructure our tax system and eliminate our mental health institutions rather than reform them.

Did it? Dropped my sub a while back as the winds clearly started to shift. We’re here reading about it. We don’t need “the news” if it’s not going to deliver the product: truth about what’s happening in the world.

I think putting a US nuclear weapon into another country’s hands has the potential to make US defense much weaker. What if the weapon (and more importantly all of the training materials and intelligence regarding the system) fell into Russian hands?

I would not oppose Ukraine having its own nuclear program, but what you are proposing is a non-starter for more reasons than I can count.

How do you think nukes work that one can just be provided to them? And how do you feel they will implement MAD with only a single nuke?

Seems like you may be in need of more assistance than you can get from strangers on the internet if this is your reaction to my suggestion.

I think maybe reaching out to a therapist might be the best next step.

Gotta change your goal from something that is making you feel shameful or restricted.

Approach people with the idea that maybe they’re attractive to you, but you’re just looking to shoot the shit and pass the time. Nothing shameful about that.

If you happen to hit it off? Amazing, maybe you can think about next steps then.

Don’t get me wrong: it’s always hard to put yourself out there, but if you are really struggling with feelings of shame during it, you might not be thinking about it in the healthiest terns.

Alternative take: Honda fucked up by not going the EV route, now they’re behind. Nissan built a fuckton of Leafs and probably has at least some decent in-house EV expertise built up. Best case scenario you get good Honda EVs.
